photography print available

Just wanted to let everyone know that a photography print of mine is up for sale in my Etsy shoppe, with hopefully more to follow.
If you like it please make sure to purchase one (for every single member of your family!) as I would appreciate it greatly and it goes to support me in my education. Because that stuff is expensive.

Stuck

I really can't decide.

You see I absolutely ADORE my earrings I purchased from TribalStyle back before camp.

And I definitely need another pair. A different style of course!

But I'm stuck...between these two lovelies...

Etsy Lovelies

As many of you may know by now - from all my different posts about Etsy - that I absolutely adore Etsy. You never know what you're going to find. Its just full of crazy, talented people with a vast array of skills.

And on Friday I found a shop to add to my favorites: Tribal Style.

These Organic Earrings are all handmade for regular pierced ears.

TribalStyle is a place where cultural tribal adornment meets modern day life. I have taken earrings that were originally made for gauged ears, split them and inserted a sterling silver post. Making them available for people who have always admired this tribal style, but could not make the commitment of stretching their ears.

The materials used are all natural and eco-friendly.
The earrings are made from wood, coconut, and salvaged bone and horn. The bone and horn used to hand-carve these tribal earrings are from a domesticated water buffalo used for cultivation and food. To minimize waste, they are respectfully used for this form of art and income.

How COOL is that???

Personally, I love them. And if there's any doubt in your mind about the awesomeness, just wait 'til you see some my favorites!!!

Originally when I saw all of these I was going to purchase the first pair pictured.
I'm kind of allergic to metal and can really only wear earrings with gold hooks / studs (I do wear other earrings, and surgical steel isn't too bad but I can't wear other metals frequently) so I'm excited to try a wood alternative.

But sadly, someone snatched that pair up before I could click 'buy' and so I settled for my second favorite, that, while slightly more expensive, I am just as excited about!

(though the review may be a bit delayed depending on just how close they arrive to when I'm departing for camp)

Uber Creative Happy Day

Today has been just that...my uber-creative happy day...

That day when not only is the sun shining down on you, but so is inspiration!

Today I made one of my most lovely creations yet...the first set in a jewelry collection that needs no other name or description but Simple Elegance.

Journey to Fine Arts Fund

Every time I go on Etsy, I find more things to add to my list of a million-and-one-things I wish I could buy.

It never fails...

But right now, I have no money to spend willy-nilly! (yes! I did actually just type that ;-) Because...not only do I need to replace things like the camera (-_- long, sad, terrible story...) and my computer battery (my laptop is currently reduced to desktop status) but first and foremost, I need to put some money toward my journey to district Fine Arts Festival.

Thankfully, some awesome provision from my local Assembly of God (thank you Jesus!) so that I can make it, but I've also undertaken the task of earning money for it myself.

Which, as some of you will know, is no easy feat where I live.

Why, you may wonder?

Well, not only are there a limited and rather meager job opportunities in my little community, but most of them require the applicant to either be over the age of 18 or have the ability to actually drive...neither attributes do I possess.

And then of course theres the fact that I'd rather not take away a job from someone who does need it to provide for a family.

Oh, and did I mention I don't babysit?

But I do believe I have gotten off track *sigh*.

Because of the lack of jobedness, it has been in the works for several months for me to make my own job.

How you may ask?

I am opening a little shoppe called 'The Forgotten Corner' (some of you may catch the correlation to my photography, Forgotten Corner Photography) both via Etsy, and physically in the building my family owns/occupies.

And so it is, that I direct you to my Etsy Shop, The Forgotten Corner as it is the manner in which I am raising money for my journey to district Fine Arts Festival in addition to odd-jobs I may find in town.

While the pickings of creations are currently next to none on Etsy, have no fear, I have been working on some creations to post and hopefully will have more available, soon.

So feel free to look (no pressure ;-) and share with friends, family or anyone who might be interested!

Something I have failed to mention before, is that I have an Etsy shop!
It hasn't been up long, and as of right now its mostly items made by my mom and dad, but I have a couple things of mine that I have made and designed that I'm trying to sell.

My best creation currently up for grabs is this beautiful black jade & silver  jewelry set.

Its a cool and beautiful combination of black jade and silver. Its one of those necklaces that you just love to wear because it feels so perfect. Combined with the bracelet and earrings it makes for an exquisite set to be worn on a special occasion, whether its a family get-together, the winter formal or a Christmas party with friends.
