Heya!

Yes, I am aware that I have already posted (the tag below) today, but! I wanted to share something real quick!

Been busy with school and whatnot during the week (of course), but for those of you who haven't checked out my book review blog Randomly Reading, you should consider heading on over and taking a look!

I have a new book review up this week, Wondrous Strange by Leslie Livingston.

What are you waiting for? Read on! haha

PS Next week a special review on Beastly by Alex Flinn...some of you may have seen the preview for the movie starring Vanessa Hudgens (hoping this is a role she might actually do well in...) which was supposed to come out this summer but was pushed back 'til next year. Its a modern day Beauty & the Beast tale. Anyways, here's the movie trailer and a special preview of the book review!

***Viewer Disgretion Advised for short flashes of violence and cussing (though definitely nothing worse than PG...it IS a preview)***

(from the inside flap)
I AM A BEAST
A beast. Not quite a wolf or bear, gorilla or dog but a horrible new creature who walks upright—a creature with fangs and claws and hair springing from every pore.
       I am a monster.
You think I’m talking fairy tales? No way. The place is New York City. The time is now. Its no deformity, no disease. And I’ll stay this way forever—ruined—unless I can break the spell.
Yes, the spell, the one the witch in my English class cast on me. Why did she turn me into a beast who hides by day and prowls by night? I’ll tell you. I’ll tell you how I used to be Kyle Kingsbury, the guy you wished you were, with money, perfect looks, and the perfect life. And then, I’ll tell you how I became perfectly…beastly.

Blessings!

I Have Been Tagged!

*gasp*
Its my first official tag!
Thanks to Emily of Grace Like Rain for tagging me!

The Rules:
You are given 8 questions from the person who tagged you before, your job is to answer them, write 8 questions of your own, then tag 8 people with your questions.

1. What's your favorite subject?
My favorite subject this year is probably my Forensic Science course.
I was originally going to do Chemistry but that fell through (a mess I'd rather not go into right now). Its my favorite because its my best!

2. Who is your favorite actor/actress?
Hmmnnn...that is rather a hard one! I think my favorite actress would probably have to be Kristen Bell because she's SO funny! Then again I like Helena Bonham Carter for her aptitude at really getting into a role and being unrecognizeable!
My favorite actor would have to be Johnny Depp because of his awesome actor skillz...or Christian Bale 'cause he was an awesome batman.

3. Do you prefer boots, flip-flops, or sneakers?
Now that IS a hard one! Honestly I prefer going barefoot ;) But! If I absolutely had to choose, I luvs me some awesome boots!

4. If you were stranded on a remote island in the middle of nowhere, what 5 foods, 5 books, 5 electronic devices, and 5 beverages would you bring?

haha! This poses to be a very lengthy answer!
I would have to pick some things that I could make lots of stuff out of...so, my Five Foods would have to be:
1. eggs
2. bread
3. fruit
4. cheese
5. meat
(yes I know...I thought all logically and whatnot...not really the funnest or most interesting answers there ;)

Five Books:
1. my Bible
2. my sketch book
3. The Notebook (no...not the novel lol...s'what I call my notebook aka my soul on paper
4. anything by Jenny B. Jones
5. Souled Out by Melody Carlson

Five Electronic Devices:
1. my computer (it has everything on it!)
2. my iPod (luvs me my music!!!)
3. camera
4. Satellite hook up so I can get WiFi (haha I don't think this is  much of a "remote"  island anymore is it?)
5. a power generator

Five Beverages:
1. water (but of course lol)
2. JONES Soda in Green Apple and Cream Soda (haha BEST SODA EVER)
3. IZZE's in Blackberry and Pomegranate
4. Lime Juice and Sprite
5. Orange Juice (vitamin C is a good idea for survival lolz)

5. What's your favorite desert?
hmmnnn...so hard! lol
I think I would have to choose the triple chocolate brownies that my boss makes (they're SOOOO good!!!)

6. Would you rather live in the country or the city?
I live in a small town...and I do believe I prefer it to living in the city...however I'm in no way one for farm life...I think somewhere in between is probably the best answer!

7. If you were to travel the world, what country would you go to first?
I would want to to go Egypt, I've studied Egyptology and have always had an interest in it.

8. What color do you wear most often?
I think probably black...I usually always wear black as well as some other colors.

Here are my 8 questions:

1. What is your favorite color?
2. If you could have any one talent, what would it be and why?
3. If you had to pick one band to see in concert, who would it be?
4. What is one country you would like to go on a missions trip to one day?
5. Who is your favorite author and why?
6. What is the biggest purchase you've ever saved long and hard for?
7. Short hair, or long hair?
8. Be Happy--write one favorite, funny memory that makes you smile :D

And I would like to tag...anyone who reads this and would like to participate! (hehe thats partly because I don't actually know more than a few people in the blogosphere ;)

blessings this week!

And I'm pretty diverse in the genres and music styles I listen to...everything from Enya to Flyleaf...Family Force 5 to Gaelic Storm...Casting Crowns to CREED...tobyMac to Paramore...

But my favorite band?

Flyleaf

Lacey Mosley has an amazing voice...from screaming in songs, to singing to the acoustics...its awesome.

*I would like to note both of these videos are more than a few years old*

Postlessness

Sorry for the lack of posting!

Oh and yes...I have forgotten! Emily of Grace Like Rain tagged me the other day and I went and answered again, but couldn't think of any questions so the tag is still sitting in my draft box...oops! I need to figure out some questions and pass along the tag! Hopefully I'll have that done soon!

Well, I've been busy busy still.
I had my last day of work on Sunday, I loved the job and am extremely grateful for it and am hoping to have it again next year, but I sure am  looking forward to sleeping in next weekend!

What I'm Reading Now

For anyone who wonders or has noticed, SO sorry I haven't had a new book review at Randomly Reading in FOREVER, I think the problem is that its not that I don't have book reviews/books to review, its that I have SO many written ahead that I forget to post new ones every week! I'll probably go and post a new one today I think.

Something I do believe I've forgotten to mention before...but my FAVORITE band is Flyleaf. Lacey Mosley-Strum has an absolutely awesome voice! Well, for my birthday, my awesome friend Nicole made made me a shirt with Flyleaf's logo on it!

 SO awesome right?!
I absolutely LOVE it...and so do a few other people I know that have been trying to steal it ;) haha

Well...time to get back to work...Math next!

hope you're all having an awesome and blessed week!

Isn't It Plain?

I wrote this for all the people in my life who need to know...
So today I ask you...isn't it plain?

Isn’t It Plain?

I cannot express
I cannot explain
God to you
Isn’t it plain?

His love for you?
His protection?
His care?
Look back on your life,
When was He there?
Forever,
For always,
He never leaves your side
He loves
He cares
So much
He suffered
He bled
He died
Don’t you see,
His work in you?
His work in me?
He’s always there
By your side
But in your heart
He can abide
He lives in me
Let Him live in you
Only you can decide

I cannot express
I cannot explain

God to you
Isn’t it plain?

Hello Bloggie World!

Well, since its been a few days I figure its probably time for another post.

School, school, school today of course.
Working on Spanish, Forensic Science, Web Design, Math, Reading, History, Theology...all that good stuff.

And looking forward to a trip to the library later...partly because I have a few books overdue (oops!) and need to take care of that so I can put some others on hold. Anyone read anything good lately?

I was busy busy busy all weekend, working hard at my job.

I've been enjoying my new 4th Gen. iPod Touch. Yes, I did say I would have a review and I will...later when I figure out how I want to write it or whether I should just do a video...suggestions? I guess what I will include is its (her?) name...Jacky yes...some of you are definitely wondering at that! Mary (Jacky) Faber is the main character in the Bloody Jack series by L.A. Meyer. I'll have to include a post about that series soon!

Mood Rings

On a musical note (haha yes...bad pun, I know) has anyone else ever heard the song Mood Rings by Relient K? Its a hilarious and awesome (and true!)song that I had stuck in my head all day yesterday and so I thought I would share its epicness.

Hoping you're all having a good week at school, home and work...blessings to you all!

Such a beautiful piece of technology! And thats the whole Apple vs. Microsoft thing aside...its just a fantastic piece of tech! I do believe this whole thing has released the extreme techno geek within me LOL.

More about it soon! I think I might just post a whole review.

The Call

I ♥ Music

And one of my favorite (not as heavy metal ;)songs is The Call by Regina Spektor.

Some of you probably know the song I'm talking about, from the end of Narnia: Prince Caspian. Its a beautiful song that makes me hopeful and want to cry all at the same time...

Jobs and iPods

Well...it seems like SO much has happened since I last blogged!

And yet it also seems like so little...hmmn...I wonder how that works? haha

Well, I think the most exciting thing (really its a God-Thing) is that I have a job!!!

The wages are BEYOND fantastic, its something I have experience doing and, it actually only part time.

I'm working about 5 hours every day, two days a week (weekends) and I'm getting paid little over minimum wage (minimum wage is currently $9 per hour) PLUS tips! For anyone who's wondering, I'm working at a food booth on the weekends during October. Essentially I am the one who takes orders and handles the money and that kind of thing...some would say waitressing, however I'm not actually really walking around or moving out of a small area much so I don't consider it to be waitressing. (What just occurred to me is that NO; "waitressing" is not a word let alone a proper term ;)

So...because I have a job, I'm going to be making money that would (where I live, with the scarcity of jobs especially jobs for teenagers) take me FOUR YEARS to earn, I'm earning in ONE MONTH.
AND (here's the God-Thing part) before my birthday I prayed and asked God for a really good job 'cause "it would be the perfect birthday gift".
On my birthday, my mom informed me that the people would need my help the following day and I could start working!
So, its been really an awesome opportunity I think.

Because of the job...meaning because I'm actually going to have money for once (lol), I am going to be able to get what I've been saving for! While I'm originally more of a Microsoft person, Apple's new 64GB 4th Generation iPod Touch is just too much of an undeniable technological awesomeness that I want in on it. And so...by the end of the month, I will essentially have an iPod touch!!! SO EXCITING!

For the past four or five years I've had my 1st Generation Zune 30GB which was an awesome first MP3 player. The bigger screen really nice for watching movies on. But, seeing as its begun showing signs of being on its last leg, I've been considering an upgrade for a while now. (I would also like to point out its a hard-drive based player [for those of you techies who know what the difference is ;) ] and tends to whirr and make noise...oh, and its the size of a small brick haha)

Anyways...other than that, school is going good though I've kinda been stressing 'bout Spanish (which I think is definitely my worst subject...or at least the one I've come to kind of dread doing...). My favorite subject though is definitely Forensic Science 'cause...well...I'm good at that one.

I think its just about time to end this post! haha

Questions? Comments? I don't hate either ;)

blessings!

16 Random Things

Well...in the spirit of blogging and it being my birthday and all, I've decided to post the ever classic '16 Random Things About Me' so here goes!

{1} My favorite color is PURPLE because it is AWESOME! (coming close is black though...)

{2} I'm not a pink girl...if and when I wear pink, it has to be with black...preferably LOTS of black...

{4} I think with a British accent...(weird but true...)

{5} I always eat my (my favorite candy!) M&M's evenly...evenly with either side of my mouth

{6} I make awesome chocolate chip cookies...so what if its taken me 7 years to get a miraculously good turn out.

{7} I don't read as much as people think I do...I just read REALLY fast.

{8} I respect and enjoy all different kinds of music...but I can barely stand Country...or secular rap...

{9} JONES Soda is my favorite soda...and I LOVE the bubbles!!!

{10} IZZE's are the pinnacle of fruit juice drinks...and I LOVE them!!

{11} Writing isn't just a hobby...s'a way of life.

{12} I have been informed I don't make a very good nerd...I'm not huge on 'Star Trek' or 'Star Wars'...I took it as a compliment. XD

{13} I fall under 'Dork'...I LOVE 'The Lord of the Rings' trilogy movies...and prolly know all the dialogue by heart.

{14} I don't wear dresses...in fact...I don't really even own one...

{15} I kinda have a thing for knives...I almost always have a pocket knife with me.

{16} I am awesome! ;) Just to letcha know...

Getting To Know Me Thursday

 I ♥ TREES

Blessed

Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD,

whose confidence is in Him.

He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;

its leaves are always green.

It has no worries in a year of drought

and never fails to bear fruit.

-Jeremiah 17:7-8

Busy, Busy, Busy...

Yep...that just about sums it up!

Then again...it also seems like next to nothing has been going on!
Ever have that feeling? Like there's so much to do...but you're SO bored?
Yeah...thats what its been like these past couple days.
LOTS of school work to do to make sure I either stay caught up or ahead...not to mention my own projects I like to keep up on...writing, drawing, photography, design...all those...

Life...

I've been enjoying my Web Design class I think...enjoying learning how to write HTML and different tags and all that...its really beginning to come in handy with my blog ;) in case you haven't noticed.
Something really cool that I found out, for those of you who dabble in HTML and will look at a website and wonder "how on earth did they do that???" Well, there is a way to know!
All you have to do is select what you specifically want to see, or just right click anywhere on the page (as long as its not on a link) and (on Firefox) its called 'View Page Source' (I believe its 'View Source' in Internet Explorer). Click this and a little notepad will pop up with the HTML script for the page. If you selected something, the specific HTML for what you highlighted will be highlighted in the notepad.

Spanish is going relatively well...having some with illogicalness (hehe my own word;) of some of the assignments...other than that doing well.

Forensic Science is honestly a breeze well...it is rather challenging and interesting in that I am learning things I didn't know before and actually have games, quizzes and experiments to do that I didn't have when I was merely doing book reading a few years ago.

If anyone is wondering, I've homeschooled for the past five years now (I thought it had surely only been three...but I realized at the beginning of the school year that it had actually been five whole years) and this year my school district finally made online schooling available without them slapping on the restriction that I couldn't do my Christian homeschool curriculum. So, I decided on Chemistry, Spanish and Web Design.
Chemistry fell through (they didn't list all the pre-requisits for the specific course in the catalogue, and I didn't have the required Algebra 3 and 4 qualifications it wanted. (But I mean really??? WHO takes Algebra 3 and/or 4 in HIGHSCHOOL???)

Went to my youth group thingie on Monday night...as I do every Monday night...had a ton of fun (as always)! Of course, had to suffer through having 'happy birthday' sung to me terribly I might add ;) but it was still nice don't get me wrong...just not usually one for having 'happy birthday' sung to me is all.
Of course, one of my friends threatened to have the WHOLE stadium sing happy birthday to me on Friday at the football game *facepalm* I SURE hope he doesn't! (I threatened extensive bodily harm if he were to do so... ;)
But yes, my 16th birthday is on Friday...a word of wisdom to all of you out there eagerly awaiting the "magical" 16 or even just the 13 of being a teenager its WAY overrated peoples...I'm tellin' you now...

I've had a few people ask me just what it is I want for my birthday...and (of course) its (never) something that is affordable *rolls eyes*.
Though I am more of a Microsoft person and had wanted a 64GB Zune HD since it came out...with the release of Apples new 4th Generation iTouch I have been seriously swayed and now want a 64GB 4th Gen. iTouch...which of course will definitely not be happening...but I figure if I save, I will have enough to buy one in...oh...two or three years...

Well...since this has been an apparently L O N G and rambling post...I do believe its about time to wrap things up...
For those of my fellow avid readers out there, I'm currently reading City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare (eh...its okay...) and I would encourage you to please check out my book review blog, my GoodReads profile and comment with what you're reading now, the best book you've read in a while or a suggestion of something you think I might like!!!

blessings to you all!!!

Autumn, A Tag, A Book and Life

Autumn truly is here!
Its more than just a season where I live...its a difference in the air, in the sound the trees make in the wind, in the color of the land, in the temperature...the general feeling just changes with fall...

I took a long walk the other day and just took pictures...something I love doing...

It kind of seems just a bit like summer's last hurrah...the green is not gone yet...

I love these two pictures...it's this really cool old hitching post (yes! one of those old things people would tie their horses to in the days before cars!).

In other news...for more of my pictures make sure to go check out Forgotten Corner Photography...and yes! I really need to post more pictures! You're all lucky I got these new ones for this post...GIMP has been failing on me and for some reason won't except my pictures to edit 'cause their too large...so I have to downsize them and forgo my usual watermark because I'm forced to use MS Paint!

There is also a new book review up at Randomly Reading...the number one place to get reviews of books I've read.
This week is Captivate by Carrie Jones.

And now for the fun of it...though I wasn't directly tagged...a tag from Elránia!

When can you remember laughing the hardest?
oh haha...umm...the most recent would have to be Wednesday night, the night of the youth rally and an EPIC car ride. Lots of fun!

What is one thing you're exited about for tomorrow?
Getting to see one of my best friends and hang out with some other kids my age that we do every Monday night. EPIC AWESOMENESS.

How many posters are in your bedroom?
Amazingly...only three actual posters...I have a few others that I have made though.

What is one place you'd rather be right now?
With one (or all!!!) of my best friends.

What can you smell right now?
Chilly autumn air coming in through my window. (No, its not even open if you're wondering...but I live in a 100 year old house and we haven't yet cold weather-proofed the windows yet so theres a bit of a draft.)

Who was the last person you talked to on the phone?
Well I've answered the phone recently...but that doesn't really count...that last person I actually talked to on the phone is one of my best friends Nicole. I called her and we ended up talking for two hours! And I'm not normally a person who talks on the phone...so I inadvertently ended up owing my parents $10 for long distance! But it was SO worth it!

What is the corniest movie you've ever seen?
OHMYGOSH! That is SUCH a good question!!! Just the other night I watched the original Batman movie from the '60s with my parents...SO CORNY! Everything had "bat" put in front of it...I'm not kidding either! It was SO funny; they're in the 'bat copter' (helicopter) and Batman says to Robin "lower the bat ladder" and on the bottom of the ladder was a sign that said "BAT LADDER"
haha NOT KIDDING AT ALL it was hilarious!

If you could choose one food to live off the rest of your life, never mind nutrition, what would it be?
That's such a hard question because after forever I think I would get tired of eating the same thing! lolz

Where are you going next?
Actually out of the house? ummm...probably when I check the mail tomorrow afternoon lolz.

Went to church today...and no one said a peep to anyone else about it being my birthday (on Friday...October 1st) UNTIL we were about to sing 'happy birthday' to someone else who's birthday is today when my mom spoke up and pointed out that my birthday is on Friday! *blushes* So of course I had to undergo being sung 'happy birthday' to. lol
Yes...for those of you who don't know, Friday IS my birthday...and I'm turning 16 for those of you who wonder ^_^

Well...summer is gone and fall is here...and its now my time to bid you all adieu!

Thoughts for the Beginning of the Week...

I have but one thought I would like to share at the beginning of this week...

"Everybody dies, but not everyone lives."

Think about it...everyone dies...we all do, we all will eventually...but do we really live?

Who are we living for?

We have a choice everyday...to color in the lines and go with the flow or to step out and be different...

this week are we gonna
Cross That Line?

Follow the leader, stay in the lines
What will people think of what you've done this time?

Go with the crowd, surely somebody knows
Why we're all wearing the emperor's clothes
Play it safe, play by the rules
Or don't play at all - what if you lose?
That's not the secret, but I know what is:
Everybody dies but not everyone lives

I'm gonna ride like I've got the cops on my tail
I'm gonna live my life like I'm out on bail

I'm gonna be out front, gonna blaze a trail

I'm gonna cross that line

Everybody freeze - don't step over the line
Don't stand up, they'll shoot down the first one who tries
Try to change the world, they'll think you're out of your mind
Revolutions start when someone crosses the line
They want us to lie down, give into the lie
Nothing has to change, and no one has to die
That's not the secret, but I know what is:
Everybody dies, but not everyone lives
Superchic[k] Cross The Line from Rock What You Got

See You At The Pole Youth Rally and Getting to Know Me Thursday

Does anyone here participate in See You At The Pole?
For those of you who don't know, See You At The Pole is where Christian teens gather at school, around the flag pole to pray...for their school, classmates...anything really.
Though I'm homeschooled, and the local highschool has never had a SYATP, there was a Youth Rally tonight really to help kick off and encourage SYATP (which, from what I gather, was yesterday).

It was SO awesome! Live band (who were really pretty good!) and an encouraging message and speaker. It was really great to get to go and be with other youth...many of whom I know from going to camp in July as I found out! It was pretty funny, all these random peoples I know from camp...like one of the speakers...and the drummer for the worship team...
Not only that, but someone I know accepted Christ last night...that is really I think the most awesome happening of all last night ^_^.
I think the second awesome was getting to hang out with one of my bestest friendsez!
The whole thing really reminded me of camp...and I LOVE camp! The camp I go to is SO awesome that there really just isn't words to describe it...and even though last night was pretty cool, camp is more than TEN times better!

Unfortunately...though I had the camera...I didn't get any pictures...sorry! The time just seemed to fly by waaaaayyyy too fast it seems like I never really had the opportunity to get it out! That and I was too busy praisin' and worshipin' the KING OF KINGS! AMEN!

Get to Know Me Thursdays...

I would just like to say, that I did rather steal this idea from Emily of Grace Like Rain! I thought it was a wonderful idea and something that maybe I should do...especially considering I'm so new to the open blogging community! So yes...thanks to Emily for the idea...and the questions! :)

{1} Were you named after anyone?
Yes, actually! I was named (Siriana) after the first female Indian doctor in India. She saved hundreds of lives by implementing proper sanitation systems and basically getting rid of diseases! Of course, my name does originally have e's, j's, and h's in it...but my dad wanted me to be able to spell it in kindergarten, thus, Siriana (sear-e-ah-nuh).

{2} Do you like your handwriting?
Surprisingly, yes! I think my handwriting is rather neat and tidy if I do say so myself...of course I must say, some credit does go to my second grade teacher for that...I had developed good handwriting (for a seven and eight year old) when I was in first grade but really started to let it slide and it got really bad...but she whipped me back into shape. lol *figuratively speaking of course*

{4} What's your favorite lunch meat?
Pastrami!!!

{5}What's your favorite cereal?
Ummm...my family doesn't really buy cereal too much...but, when we do Captain Crunch...I know, I know its SO unhealthy and really rather terrible I'm sure...but! My uncle started me on it years ago and I just haven't been able to kick it since!

{6} Do you untie you shoes when you take them off?
Nope. I wear skate style shoes...I buy 'em, tie 'em and then usually leave 'em for the rest of their wearable shoe lives...haha. Of course, occasionally when rock climbing, rappelling, hiking or something of the sort I will untie them to tie them appropriately tighter for whatever it is I'm doing.

{7} What's your favorite flavor of Ice Cream?
Too hard a question! I was raised with my mothers favorite ice cream being Breyers (one of the BEST ice cream brands ever) Mint Chocolate Chip...and I still LOVE it. Buuuutttt...I think I might just have to say Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough! YUMMY!

{8} What's the least favorite thing about yourself?
I'm always so cynical and pessimistic :P

{9} What are you listening to right now?
Ummm...actually, and rather amazingly I'm not listening to anything right at this moment! Which is really strange for me! lolz I'm usually listening to music constantly!

{10} Favorite smells?
haha ummm...leather, as in the real stuff...not like car leather but leather leather...*shrugs* of course I'm failing at this but ah well :)

Well my bloggie friends and random readers...thats all I have up my sleeve for right now...I must head off and do some more school work! Rather excited to start my forensic science course today as well as continue in my Spanish and web design courses that I'm doing online...

toodles!

Welcome To Concrete & Grace!

'Ello!
Thanks for checking out my blog.
In the spirit of giving credit where credit is due, I would like to thank all the people who had even the slightest hand in helping me finally finish creating it!
       Those people being...
  • God (of course ;)
  • Bekah of The Word Crafter for some brilliant help ^_^ make sure to check out Bekah's blog!
  • Olive Tree of Horse Feathers for all her help with my HTML incompetency as well as some much needed tutorials from Robin Blogs!
  • Awel P. of Shilah  for some very helpful tutorials.

a writer, a dreamer and a poet.

I capture life with a camera. Everywhere I go there's always ideas for shots going through my head...unfortunately, I don't always have a camera (or a good enough camera) with which to capture them... On the prompting of a bloggie friend, I did create a photography blog that I encourage you to all please check out! Forgotten Corner Photography

I chose the title Concrete & Grace from Superchic[k]'s song Anthem from their album Beauty From Pain 1.1.

My passion is writing. Pen in hand when inspiration hits.  Some would call my writing genre to be poetry, but thats really just the format I use. Sometimes it'll be songs, stories...my own style, unique to me. Though I have come into the habit of carrying around a notepad and pen with me, I don't always remember to have the paper and my hands and arms usually bear the remains of ink...whether random doodles or words.

I occasionally guest write for Never Alone, an online devotional by teens, for teens.

I enjoy acting at our local theater and can usually be a bit of a dramatic.

I have MANY different nick-names given to me by friends and family alike.
The most common being: Siri, Sissy, Drama Queen...oh, and Crazy Hat Girl...one guy at camp decided it was easier to call me that after my multi-colored hat then butcher my name...in a way, it was kind to my name.

In the summer I help with our family owned buisness, and every July for the past few years, I attend camp which I like to call 'the Jesus party of awesome'. ^_^

I love to ride my bike (with no hands being my forte ;), keep in touch with friends far away, and hang out with friends who live close.

Being creative by nature, some of my favorite pastimes include various forms of art and design whether its beading, sewing, drawing, writing or graphic and web design.
Pink isn't my color and I'm usually not one to wear it unless theres a lot of black included in the equation.

Reading is a way to go on adventures without ever leaving home.
My favorite reads are to numerous to be listed.

Music is in my blood and always a part of my life.
Though I'm not musically talented myself throughout everything I do I'm always listening to music and can usually be found flipping through music on my iPod whether I'm on the computer, reading or outside laying in the sun.
The soundtrack of my life changes and varies depending on my mood.
Even though my favorite music is hard Christian rock/alternative, I'm rather diverse and my daily listening depends on what I'm reading or how I'm feeling. I listen to everything from Enya to a Christian rapper called K-Dub. I've gone to see Casting Crowns in concert and I listen to Creed. I enjoy going to bluegrass festivals, but what I listen to most and enjoy listening to most is rock [usually of the Christian genre]. Flyleaf, RED, Fireflight, Skillet, Disciple, Decyfer Down, Superchic[k], Switchfoot, House of Heroes, Relient K...and so the list goes on. PS: I don't hate comments!!! ;)
